Heritage,
Tradition, and Vision
First State Bank has been continuously serving the communities
of Northeast Nebraska for nearly five generations. Founded in
1887 as The Randolph State Bank, the present-day building stands
just one city block from the original site at Broadway and Douglas
Street.
Since our beginning we’ve remained a full service, independent
community bank. We pride ourselves in meeting the financial needs
of our friends and neighbors. We have always considered our customers
our most valued asset. The staff of First State Bank strives to
give our customers the kind of personalized service that is often
missing in a large chain banking system.
Over the years, First State Bank has stood the test of time.
Together, with our faithful customers we’ve weathered the
1929 financial crisis, the depression of the 1930’s, the
Bank Holiday declared by President Roosevelt in 1933, and all
the difficult economic trials our country and customers have faced
over the years. This has been accomplished through the sound management
practices that are the foundation of our bank. Past Presidents
and Managing Officers include James F. Toy, F.S. Stegge, Vernon
Viergutz, Tom Riedmiller, and most recently Mark Linville.
We pride ourselves in building and maintaining strong, long lasting
relationships that stand the test of time, economic conditions,
and competition. First State Bank is committed to serving the
needs of Randolph and surrounding communities, and we will continue
to do this by providing reliable customer service, account management
tools such as online banking, and fair and reasonable prices for
our services and products.
